VoTech was launched in early 2005, building
on the scope of its predecessor Voyage Enterprises.
Voyage
Enterprises was formed in 1997 to service the consulting
and contract engineering needs of the defence sector
in Australia. Starting with services provided by founder
Maurice S Sikorski, it has steadily grown to be in a
position to address the needs of major programs.
As
a result of a strategic review in mid 2004, the board
of Voyage Enterprises decided to extend the scope of
the company to include work packages that would be dealt
with as outsourced projects. Furthermore, a decision
was taken to explore certain technology streams as an
extension of systems engineering into integration and
support activities.
In
light of these significant new directions, a name change
became appropriate, and VoTech was born.
